ABOUT THE HOST

Mandated by the former Tourism and Industrial Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (TIDCO), The Trinidad and Tobago Tour Guides’ Association (TTTGA) was established in October 1997.  The Association under Trade Union regulations has the vision of standardising the service of our local Tour Guides as well as the information being disseminated, thereby increasing their professionalism and, by extension, uplifting the nation’s tourism product.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

From Digity to Debe to Palo Seco be prepared to see parts of Trinidad that you never knew existed! First stop is the mother of all mud volcanoes at Digity, the cone of which you can actually walk up and look inside! This will certainly make you work up an appetite and you will be in luck as no trip to the South is worth its salt unless you pass by the infamous Debe strip for some goodies. After refueling, you will be taken to Palo Seco where after a ten-minute walk into the forest you stumble onto not one but a few bubbling mud volcanoes! The volcanoes, of various sizes, are all in close proximity and are easily accessible making this tour perfect for all age groups. We now take you to Cedros where the Balka Devi Temple is situated ON, yes, you read correctly, ON a mud volcano and tour culminates with an experience of making Coconut oil. Here you can purchase your different type of Coconut oils. (eg. Virgin, Compressed etc.)
